How to get your server listed here
What we ask for, what we read from your server automatically, and what actually gets a submission turned down.
Listing is free and there is no paid placement, so the only thing that moves you up a page is players and votes. Submissions are read by a person, usually within a day.
What you provide
- The address. Domain or IP, with a port only if it is not 25565.
- A name, up to 32 characters. This is the headline on your card.
- A short description, 60 to 250 characters — two or three sentences.
- Your gamemodes, up to eight, and per mode up to six features from our list plus four of your own.
What we read ourselves
Player counts, the version you accept, your MOTD and your server icon all come from a status ping, refreshed every thirty minutes. You never type them, and you cannot inflate them. If your server is offline for three days the listing hides itself and comes back automatically when you do.
What gets a submission turned down
- A description that is a list of keywords rather than a description.
- Custom features that are advertising slogans rather than features. "Best server ever" is not a feature; "Seasonal Events" is.
- An address that does not answer a ping when we check it.
Your own features are the part worth thinking about. They are the only text on your card that nobody else has, and they are what makes someone stop scrolling. Spend the four you get.
